Ovation released its 30th Anniversary Custom Legend in 2004. Only 300 instruments were produced, all in the full-bodied non-cutaway design and the classic appointments with updated electronics. Price: $2,499.

DAVID GILMOUR used a 1981 Custom Legend in the studio recording of Comfortably Numb for Pink Floyd's legendary work, The Wall.

Off the court, tennis legend JOHN McENROE is said to wield an Ovation Custom Legend.

The Guitar Trio of AL DI MEOLA, PACO DE LUCIA and JOHN McLAUGHLIN, which resulted in the six-million-copy recording, Friday Night in San Francisco, was the genesis for Al's Signature Custom Legend.

PINK FLOYD'S 1977 Animals tour, in which ROGER WATERS plays his Custom Legend on "In the Flesh," is widely considered to be the band's most memorable. The group's success was at an all-time peak. The tour sold out arenas and stadiums across North America and Europe, eclipsing all previous records.

The microwave oven was commercially introduced in 1974, the same year as Ovation's Custom Legend.
